About Project

The project entitled „A new generation of hybrid composite rods for concrete and soil reinforcement" financed under the LIDER - 10th edition of the competition is devoted to the development of new technology for the production of composite reinforcing bars and anchors. The project kicked off at the beginning of 2020 and will last 30 months (30.04.2023). The subject of the project is to develop, as a result of research, innovative technology for the production of a series of types of multi-layer composite rods and anchors. The new manufacturing method will be directly reflected in the increase in strength parameters of rods and anchors. The bars developed under the project will be made of the so-called programmable structure, i.e. after the core loses its stability, the load-bearing capacity of the structure will be provided by fibers arranged in a bar in a different layer. The use of the protective layer of the core will increase the fatigue life of the offered bars. The new design of the multi-layer rod will allow for greater adhesion of the rod to concrete, which in the context of their intended use - the reinforcement of concrete load-bearing structures is of fundamental importance. As a result of the project, it is expected to produce a new range of composite anchors, which will be characterized by increased chemical resistance and reduced own weight - which in the context of their use in areas exposed to the exposure of the corrosive environment.
